Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a consultation or using any services provided through this Site.

By booking a consultation or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

The words of which the initial letter is capitalised have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Karolina MD refers to Karolina Praskeviciute, a sole proprietor providing educational integrative health consultations at www.karolinamd.com.

Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a mobile phone, or a digital tablet.

Service refers to the Website and all consultations, educational materials, and services provided through it.

Terms and Conditions (also referred to as "Terms") mean these Terms and Conditions that form the entire agreement between you and Karolina MD regarding the use of the Service.

Website refers to Karolina MD, accessible at www.karolinamd.com.

You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service.

2. Services and Scope of Practice

Karolina MD provides educational integrative health consultations, functional bloodwork interpretation, peptide education, and related guidance services (the "Services") through virtual video sessions. All Services are educational in nature. Please refer to the Disclaimer for important limitations.

Important: I, Karolina Praskeviciute, hold a medical degree (MD) from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. I do not currently hold an active medical license in the United States and do not practice medicine. All services are provided in my capacity as an educational health consultant and Certified Integrative Health Practitioner. By booking a consultation, you acknowledge and agree that you are receiving educational guidance from me personally, not medical care from a licensed physician.

Services are provided to clients aged 18 and over. By booking a consultation, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

3. Booking and Payment

All consultations are booked through Calendly and payment is processed at the time of booking. Prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are subject to change. The price displayed at the time of booking is the price you will be charged.

Karolina MD does not accept insurance. All fees are the sole responsibility of the client.

Lithuanian clients: Special pricing arrangements are available for clients based in Lithuania. Please contact me directly before booking. Standard USD pricing will apply if a session is booked without prior arrangement.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

The following policy applies to all consultations:

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your scheduled session: Full refund or the option to reschedule at no charge.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled session: 50% of the consultation fee will be charged. The remaining 50% will be refunded. No refund is available for no-shows.

Rescheduling: You may reschedule your session up to 24 hours before the scheduled time at no charge. Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the session will be treated as a cancellation under the policy above.

Follow-up sessions: Follow-up consultations must be booked within 3 months of the initial consultation to ensure continuity.

5. Cancellation by Karolina MD

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel or reschedule your session, I will notify you as soon as possible and offer either a full refund or a rescheduled session at your preference. I am not liable for any additional costs or losses you may incur as a result of a cancellation on my part.

6. Session Recording

Some sessions may be recorded for educational or record-keeping purposes. You will be informed and required to provide explicit verbal or written consent before any recording takes place. You have the right to decline recording without any impact on the quality of service provided. Recorded sessions are stored securely and are not shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

7. Client Responsibilities

By booking a consultation, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information about your health history and current situation to the best of your ability.

Acknowledge that the Services are educational in nature, provided by an educational health consultant, and do not replace the advice of your currently licensed healthcare providers.

Consult a qualified licensed physician or healthcare provider before making any health-related decisions, including changes to medication, supplements, or health protocols.

Take full responsibility for any health decisions you make following a consultation.

Not use the Services in place of emergency medical care.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including written materials, protocols, educational documents, and any materials shared during consultations — is the intellectual property of Karolina MD. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Personal, non-commercial use for your own health journey is permitted.

9. Confidentiality

All information shared during consultations is treated as confidential. I will not disclose your personal or health information to third parties except as described in the Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law.

I ask that you treat any information, protocols, or materials shared during your consultations as confidential and for your personal use only.

10. Links to Other Websites

This Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Karolina MD. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that Karolina MD shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services. I strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

11. "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" Disclaimer

The Service is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Karolina MD expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, with respect to the Service, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Without limiting the foregoing, Karolina MD makes no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied: (i) as to the operation or availability of the Service, or the information, content, and materials included thereon; (ii) that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (iii) as to the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information or content provided through the Service; or (iv) that the Service, its servers, the content, or emails sent from or on behalf of Karolina MD are free of viruses, scripts, trojan horses, worms, malware, timebombs, or other harmful components.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain types of warranties or limitations on applicable statutory rights of a consumer, so some or all of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you. In such a case the exclusions and limitations set forth in this section shall be applied to the greatest extent enforceable under applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Karolina MD's total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific consultation giving rise to the claim.

Karolina MD is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of health outcomes, lost profits, loss of data, business interruption, or any damages resulting from your reliance on information provided during a consultation, even if Karolina MD has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, which means some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In these states, liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Karolina MD from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.

14. Termination

I may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

15. For European Union (EU) Users

If you are a European Union consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law.

16. United States Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to the United States government embargo, or that has been designated by the United States government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

17. Severability and Waiver

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver: The failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under these Terms shall not affect a party's ability to exercise such right or require such performance at any time thereafter. The waiver of a breach shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.

18. Translation

These Terms and Conditions may have been translated if made available to you in a language other than English. You agree that the original English text shall prevail in the case of a dispute.

19. Dispute Resolution

I hope any issues can be resolved informally. If you have a concern or complaint, please contact me first at karolina@karolinamd.com and I will make every effort to resolve it promptly.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the State of Florida in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, unless you are an EU or Lithuanian resident, in which case you may also have recourse to the courts of your country of residence or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. EU and Lithuanian clients retain the rights afforded to them under applicable EU and Lithuanian consumer protection laws, which cannot be waived by contract.

21. Changes to These Terms

I reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. If a revision is material I will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. The updated version will be posted on this Site with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

22. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Karolina MD regarding your use of the Services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
